Boston Trinity Academy

BTA Robotics

Building thoughtful engineers through competitive robotics.

At Boston Trinity Academy, robotics is where design, coding, strategy, teamwork, and perseverance come together. Students build real machines, solve real engineering problems, and compete through the FIRST Tech Challenge.

Build. Test. Improve.

Engineering habits that last beyond the robot.

Mechanical Design

Students prototype, assemble, tune, and improve mechanisms that turn ideas into reliable motion.

Programming

Teams write autonomous and driver-controlled code, debug sensors, and make the robot respond with precision.

Strategy

Students read the game, plan match roles, evaluate tradeoffs, and adjust designs after real testing.

Teamwork

Robotics asks students to communicate clearly, document decisions, and keep improving together.

About

About BTA Robotics

BTA Robotics is a student-centered engineering program at Boston Trinity Academy. Through competitive robotics, students learn to turn ideas into working machines while practicing collaboration, problem-solving, and gracious professionalism.

We help students become thoughtful builders, clear communicators, and resilient leaders who use technology with purpose.

No experience is required. Curiosity, commitment, and a willingness to learn are enough.

Teams

Our Teams

BTA Robotics includes multiple FIRST Tech Challenge teams, giving more students the opportunity to build, program, drive, and lead.

During the season

Students read the game manual, brainstorm designs, build prototypes, program autonomous and driver-controlled systems, practice matches, and improve the robot after every test.

Support

Support BTA Robotics

BTA Robotics depends on generous support from families, alumni, and friends of Boston Trinity Academy. Gifts help students access the tools, parts, travel, registration, and learning opportunities that make competitive robotics possible.
